3 plus 1 is 23
Yi Xiang used to visit just 3 houses during CNY. Maximum maybe 4. After he married me (hence, the plus 1) we've visited 21 places so far. one more today and another on sunday. =)
Now why do i like cny visiting? Now, in the past when i was little i used to love cny for the same reason many kids did. the food, family, and of cos the ang pows. it was a joy to always gather all my ang pows at the end of visitations, and count my keep. =)
Thus, i've always loved cny. It's a wonderful time for me to meet up with my many uncles and aunties and cousins, nephews and nieces.
So when people look pitifully at me and say 'Orh! this year must give ang pow!" i always reply in sheer honesty, that i find it a joy to be able to give ang pows. cos i remember the joy of receiving. i even chose specially cute ang pows from hong kong. =)
So yes, yi xiang looked exhausted by the end of the first day, poor boy. but i'm very thankful for a sweet and understanding husband who doesn't understand a smidgen of teochew who followed me to visit all my uncles and aunties.
and also, whenever anyone wishes me zao shen gui zi, i receive in joy but i have only one hope and that is that my child or children, will grow up to be G0d-fearing men or women or both, who will love Jesus with all their hearts, soul and mind.
