Praise God

I thank God for...

1. A day's rest of MC as I was feeling fluey this morning.

2. Helping me finish some tasks for the church board.

3. Helping me plan for my chapel session this Thu.

4. Renovations having started. though the bill seems to be growing, I just pray that all the work will be done well and that I'll always just look on the brighter side of things.

5. Caring parents who are constantly planning for my wedding.

6. My church youth who were super nice and understanding about Sunday's laser quest outing. Think other youths would have been complaining and griping but all of them seemed to understand that it was beyond our control. so nice of them... thank God for each of them.

7. Being able to sleep soon! yay!!! bed time!

A beautiful day

I thank God for the lovely day I've just had...

Had quite a fun tuition session teaching my boy about Man and the Environment. =)

Then grabbed a free shuttle to Chinatown, praise God for making it in time for the earlier shuttle.

Wanted to watch Red Cliff or Batman at Vivo but the furthest back i could get was second row from the front. so that was out of the question for such action heavy shows.

initially was a little bit bummed by a day's plan ruined, but the afternoon flew by at a relaxed pace with lunch, then just walking around with xiang. have really missed him these last few weeks with him being so busy with work.

so I guess God knew best and allowed for us to spend quality time chit chatting and stuff. =)

then i came home and while xiang surfed his fish sites occasionally asking me to see a fish now and then (altho some were awfully scary looking to me!), i managed to make my room look decent again. when i'm stressed, i become an absolute slob at home. lol... plus with new house stuff being stored in my room now, it looked esp cluttered. so every possible clearable surface has been cleared, and i'm now feeling very accomplished and satisfied.

thank God for the beautiful day. =)

Peace

It's been quite a trying time of late. What with the renovation decisions, last minute change of wedding day plans and now the hdb loan repayment.

Sat i went for lunch with xiang's family and there was a small waterfall-like feature at the place we were eating. And since I was early i was just standing there, staring at it. And i remembered a beautiful picture was painted to me in an email.

Peace can't be depicted by a serene quiet lake. Peace is more aptly depicted when it's of a mother bird sitting on her nest behind a waterfall. While all the water's gushing around her, she's simply sitting there, totally at peace despite the seemingly chaotic environment.

So even though things aren't going smooth, i'm so thankful that I still have so much I can thank Him for.

I thank God for

1. holding the rain yesterday
2. helping choose the tiles etc for my new place
3. yi xiang as he's been supportive of this very frazzled bride-to-be
4. being able to spend time with my daddy yesterday
5. being able to spend an entire day out with my mummy on saturday
6. my cheche and her lovely wedding gift for me
7. helping me through more than 3 years of work
8. allowing me to secure a place for my church wedding in such a short time
9. yi xiang's family who care for me like their own
10. good night's rest last night cos i haven't been sleeping very well of late
11. reminding me that He is with me every step of the way
12. a good contractor who really does his best in helping us. he was so funny. after we finally decided on the tiles and everything a few hours later, he called to say that he was thinking of it and thought he better let me know that if i chose such tiles etcetcetc... it's a rare to find a contractor who's so thoughtful that even while he's driving to think about the tiles i've chosen. usually many of them will be like, your house, your choice, your business. =)

14. rhoda who was so wonderfully understanding about my cancellation on dinner cos i took leave to take care of daddy yesterday

praise God for the many blessings!

6 months to go!

Wow... was going to start work then i saw my ticker say '6 months until our wedding!'

time is ticking by. so much to do! I really thank God for helping us settle quite a few things earlier. if not think it'd be an even madder rush now.

contractor contractor contractor... such a tough thing to decide on. =) renovation work is a real big task!

well, it'll be over soon! getting our keys officially this sunday from the owner... yay!
