050508 =)

If any of you are wondering why that date looks familiar, yes it has been exactly a year since I said 'Yes' to Yi Xiang's proposal.

Yesterday he gave me such a lovely surprise. I had two back to back meetings in church after service. After my first service I asked quite a lot of people if they knew where Yi Xiang was. But no one knew a thing. Noticed Wayne wasn't around so figured they went to lim a kopi or something. well, I was right abt the Wayne bit, but never did I expect Wayne to be his partner in crime as they secretly drove out to Novena just so that Yi Xiang could present such a lovely bouquet of roses to me after my meeting. I was so surprised! More than pleasantly surprise. It's hard to surprise me cos I usually anticipate quite accurately when I can expect a nice gift or even a lil gift.

So this one was such a surprise! Heehee...

We had a nice dinner at a little Japanese restaurant in the evening. But what i really enjoyed was being able to talk to him. As in really talk to him. =) We've been rather busy of late, especially the poor guy who's been working till late these last couple of weeks, so sometimes meaningful conversations are tough to maintain.

Thanks Xiang for making yesterday so special! =) =) =)

Side issues:

A)
Childhood friend got married on Saturday. I cried when he did. Yes the groom and not the bride broke down in tears when HE thanked his parents. but it was so sweet... having known him for so long. always knew his family meant a lot to him... I'm so emotional! Lol... after the ceremony, my wedding emcee-to-be happily quipped "You better make sure you have a jiemei in charge of your make-up!" Before I could even sputter out my answer she asked "Make sure you have waterproof mascara" and before i could respond fully, she added "and eye-liner!" so those of you who are coming to my wedding, pls bring good quality tissue! this bride-to-be is likely to need it...

B)
After dinner yesterday, taking the lift up to my home, i asked xiang, "do you really think i'll cry at our wedding?" without a moment's hesitation "yah..." oh well, hopefully i tear prettily then!

C)
This coming Saturday's our first appointment with HDB. Please pray that everything goes smoothly. =)
