furniture check!
hey all,
haven't been blogging very much of late. was too busy racing my fluffpet on facebook. lol...
so right now waiting for my HDB first appt which will be on 10th May. and in abt two months after that, we'll get the keys to our very own place. *thrilled*
but having said that, i'm still getting used to the idea that no longer will i be going home to my daddy, mummy and cheche... yes, it's exciting to start a new chapter, but at the same time, i know things will no longer be the same. i'll now be someone's wife... no doubt i'll still be their daughter and sister, but it's just not the same.
i hope i'm not going to weep buckets on the day of my wedding! lol... so bring along additional kleenex or beautex or paseo on the day for this potential crying bride! lol...
anyway, on a brighter note, xiang and i have decided on our honeymoon destination. Hong Kong!
And for all of you out there who react just like everyone else who has heard of our choice, here's why...
1. never been there, have always wanted to
2. i love spending time with yi xiang in coffeeshops just chilling and talking over a good cup of teh c
3. we love dim sum
4. i've always wanted to see The Peak
5. i want to visit Ocean Park
6. good that there's disneyland tho i heard it's not fantastic
7. there're quaint lil shops i can get knick knacks and what-have-yous
8. there's a fish street which yi xiang really is looking forward to as his hobby is keeping fish and they've got good ones there
9. we wanted cool weather, so that's knocked out the southern hemisphere in Jan
10. we knocked out europe and states too far, too ex
11. i didn't fancy japan, taiwan, china or korea
looking forward to it. currently cutting down the leave i use to carry over as many as possible to 2009. as it is, if everything goes according to plan, my current lack of a rest will not be in vain. i plan to take the entire month of jan off!!! yay!!!! nice looooong break.. think i'll prob dread returning to work after that! lol...
and yes as my heading goes, we've got some furniture. just the basic ones which are now sitting in the warehouse waiting to be delivered. yes i work early and i work fast.
essential to a stress-free bride i believe.
been dutifully going to the gym every mon, wed and friday morning before work. yes hardly any of u are awake by the time i'm done with the session i reckon... lol... but such is the life of an early sleeper and early riser. =)
i dread having no weekday nights to myself so one day my friend mentioned morning sessions as my gym opens at 6am... from the sound of it, thought my friend also frequents the gym in the morning.. so i was like, well, yeah! that's an idea... then i found out it only took place in the mind of my friend so i had no kaki! but oh well, no kaki but i found out that i really like morning sessions. the gym's practically empty... so no need to line up for machines or the shower rooms. great way to start the day. =)
as for wedding prep, now sourcing for a photographer... =) contemplating on whether i should do a meaningful slideshow and waiting for my bridal studio to call...
i thank God for:
1. my lovely family
2. my loving fiance
3. my cousin who gave me the great book 'Sacred Marriage' which really helps me see marriage thru a different perspective
4. work going well
5. being able to stick to gym schedule and healthier diet
6. facebook which has connected me with some old and dear friends
7. my new cell group... they're such a great bunch!
8. providing us with a warm and lovely place of our own
9. helping us get nice pieces of furniture at quite a steal
10. enabling me to learn how to make muah chee which my family enjoys eating
11. it's only 9 months and a day more to my wedding, the first step in beginning a journey that will take me till the end of my lifetime
