celebrations

July has been a month of celebrations.

I know 7 people whose birthdays fall in July.

2nd July was a fellow colleague's birthday. Managed to do a little mini surprise dinner for him. =)

another colleague's birthday on 12th.

my mum's birthday on 13th.

xiang's sis' birthday on 14th.

my dept colleague's birthday yesterday and it was also xiang's dad's birthday.

and next friday's my dear uni friend's birthday!

so lotsa birthdays!

my cousin also got married on 14th July!

Xiang treated me to a sumptuous dinner on 7th July that included chilli crab and shark's fin from jumbo seafood. yumyum...

mum's birthday dinner was yummy too... plus i managed to surprise her by taking half day's leave and baking her a cake. will post pictures when i'm at home cos haven't downloaded them off my phone.

xiang's dad's birthday dinner was on sun and we had steamboat. shabushabu (not sure if i've spelt it right) beef is really good! first time i've ever had. and durian cake from angie's was also yummy yummy!

but i think the most joyous occasion of all was a brand new birthday of 15th July. a very very very nice church friend came to accept Jesus as his Lord and Saviour. So happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

caught transformers with xiang on monday. enjoyed it. saw the trailer for rush hour 3, think we'll be catching it too.

plus i managed to catch up with my close friend over dinner last week and we had spagheddies! yumyum...

but other than all the talk on food, i thank God for sustaining me through my fast. i fast lunch. so the moment i'm done with breakfast i don't eat anything till dinner. just water... yupyup! praise God for sustaining me cos i was on the verge of falling ill last week, but thank God I got better quickly. The last two years i was unable to complete my fast because of bad bouts of flu which included antibiotics and as with most antibiotics, they need to be taken after food.

oh yes! and my sister was so sweet and treated me to a nice breakfast at coffeebean cos i wasn't in the best of spirits on sat. *hugs*
