baptism, shuttlecock magnet & chicken wings
heehee... odd title?
well, i thank God for 16th Apr, cos I saw two of my dear friends/cg members get baptised!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! woohoo! so happy for them... =) plus one of them also had her mum getting baptised as well! there was also another lady who started coming to church cos her little boy was in our sunday school, and she actually sat in and listened to all these bible stories for a good 3 to 4 years! i was the sunday school teacher for a year or two then... heehee... so it's nice to see my 'student' take this step of declaration of her faith in God... =)
i thank God that we've been keeping up with our weekly badminton sessions... my cell's just so great! heehee... the only sad thing is that my sister doesn't like badminton and so she doesn't join us... so it's like our cell not complete... =(
anyway, why shuttlecock magnet? cos i've got this amazing ability to attract shuttlecocks from all directions... lol... it doesn't have to be a smash from my opponent, i've been hit my my own partner a couple of times too! gosh... it's really not very safe... thank God that it's just shuttlecocks and not like tennis or basketball... i'll be all black and blue by now if that was the case! they don't really hurt, except for one smash into my undefined abs... now that one hurt... but thankfully it didn't bruise... tho it hurt a couple of days.. but ok liao! =)
oh i discovered this lovely chicken wing stall at the kopitiam near my office! it's really very yummy... and only 90cents! all the other stalls selling chicken wings (not even the same standard) are at least $1! so yeah... me happy... but now i have to keep steering clear of the stall cos i've had more than one person remind me that they inject chickens by the wing and the neck... so it isn't healthy blahblahblah... once in a while! heehee... *drool* =P so yeah! thank God for this new stall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
gonna play badminton again this sunday and monday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! monday's a holiday! yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! so happy... i like holidays! nice and restful...
oh and i thank God for keeping my palm (pda) in good condition... i took it out of hibernation last wednesday and it's working fine... in fact it's great mrt entertainment! heehee... i'm hooked onto this game called flying snake... it's a lot like the snake game we find in nokia phones but u eat numbers instead and u can eat hearts to get extra lives blahblah... it's fun... =) and it was free! heehee... so i thank God for my palm ( a gift for several of my church mates for my 21st birthday) and for free games! heehee...
also thank God for keeping the rain away when I'm travelling home... it's happened three times already... when i'm finally safe under shelter, the skies open up! so praise God!
i thank God that Xiang will be coming back soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the three years of ldr is finally coming to an end and we can begin a new paktor lifestyle! heehee... i think God really watched over us during this time and the distance apart has taught us many valuable lessons and made us treasure each other so much more... many pple now tell me, whoa! so fast he's back hor! i shake my head... at this pt with only 50plus days more, it sure seems fast, but they weren't the ones going through the three years... i'm not sayin it was a terrible three years, but there are so many couple things that people often take for granted that xiang and i haven't been able to enjoy these past three years... most of these 3 years we weren't on the same continent... things like meeting up for a meal, sending an sms, calling for a short chat, going to the movies, hanging out over teh c... were not possible or not without a high cost... the time difference meant an alteration in lifestyles... it meant a lot of giving and taking... many pple told me at the start of this relationship, 'i don't mean to be a wet blanket, but ldrs hardly ever work out'... well, i've got news for you, it has and will work out cos effort, prayer and love was put into the relationship... =) so really thank God for seeing us through these past three years... =)
